About this app

Valto is an encrypted photo vault and secure folder for everything private on your phone — photos, videos, files, documents, passwords, notes and contacts — with an optional working calculator disguise.

Most vault apps just move your files into a hidden folder. Valto encrypts every item with AES-256-GCM, stores the master key in your device's hardware keystore and keeps the database itself encrypted with SQLCipher.

An encrypted private gallery for the photos and videos you would rather not hand over when someone borrows your phone. Import in batches, group by month, pinch to zoom, play videos straight from encrypted storage. After importing, Valto offers to delete the originals from your gallery. Thumbnails are encrypted too.

Valto is not only a photo locker. It is a document vault and a private folder for the paperwork that matters:

• PDFs, ZIP archives and audio files

Browse inside ZIP archives, read PDFs and play audio without ever decrypting to normal storage. Every file gets its own key material, its name on disk is obfuscated, and the real filename is kept encrypted. Lock the vault and every preview is wiped.

Switch on Stealth Mode and Valto opens as a fully working calculator with 6 themes and real maths. Type your PIN and press = and your vault opens silently. Wrong codes just show 0. The disguise is optional and off by default — a fresh install opens to a normal PIN screen. On Android you can also change the launcher name to Calculator, Notes or Tools.

Set a second panic PIN that opens a genuine second vault with its own content — a real encrypted partition, not a fake empty screen. If someone makes you open the app, they see the decoy and nothing else.

• Intruder selfie (Premium): after 2 failed attempts the front camera quietly takes a photo
