ProAudio Tools turns your phone into a sound level meter, real-time spectrum analyzer and tone generator — rebuilt from scratch for modern Android, with no ads and no tracking.

SOUND LEVEL METER
• Needle or big-number display
• A and C frequency weighting (IEC 61672-1)
• Fast, Slow and Impulse time weighting
• LAeq (true energy average), max, min and LCpeak
• 30-second history with LAeq line
• Flip the display to read it with the mic pointing at the source
• Calibrate against a reference meter for your exact phone

SPECTRUM ANALYZER (RTA)
• 1/1, 1/3 and 1/6-octave bands from 25 Hz to 20 kHz
• Levels in dB SPL with Z, A or C weighting
• Peak hold, peak frequency with musical note
• Freeze the display and save a reference curve

TONE GENERATOR
• Sine, pink and white noise
• Frequency dial from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, or type the exact frequency
• Presets for common test frequencies

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The only permission is the microphone. Audio is processed on your phone and never recorded, stored or uploaded. No account, no ads, no analytics.

ABOUT ACCURACY
Phone microphones vary by model. Readings are indicative until you calibrate against a reference sound level meter. ProAudio Tools is not a certified Class 1 or Class 2 instrument and is not intended for legal measurements.

First released in 2013 and calibrated against a Brüel & Kjær Type 2236 Class 1 meter.

Linear frequency scale? Seriously? Totally useless app. Please don't waste your time with it.

Why google says it 'contains ads' ? I did not see any. Are them hiden ads? Also why i cant add this to wish list?

What’s new

Small update with a few fixes:
- The screen no longer turns off while you're measuring
- Very quiet rooms show "< 30" instead of strange low numbers
- Max and peak turn amber if it got too loud for your phone's mic
- Tidier meter screen and a couple of bug fixes
