Compare countries side by side on the numbers that decide where you live and work. Countrywise puts cost of living, salary purchasing power and public economic data for 150+ countries into one app, so you can compare two countries in seconds.
Countrywise is an independent app. It is not a government entity and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of the World Bank, the United Nations or any government. Every figure comes from the public sources linked at the end of this description.
WHAT YOUR SALARY IS REALLY WORTH
A currency converter tells you an exchange rate, not what your money buys. Countrywise converts a salary using purchasing power parity (PPP) conversion factors published by the World Bank, so an income in one country becomes a like-for-like number in another.
COST OF LIVING COMPARISON
See how everyday spending differs between two countries: housing, food, healthcare, transport, utilities and entertainment. These cost of living breakdowns are AI-generated from the underlying country data and are planning estimates, not quoted prices.
COUNTRY DATA AND ECONOMIC INDICATORS
Every country profile is built on published World Bank statistics: GDP per capita, GDP per capita at PPP, GDP growth, inflation, unemployment, population, urban population share, internet use, and public spending on health and education. Capital, region, land area, currency and languages are included too, so the app doubles as a country data reference.
COMPARE COUNTRIES SIDE BY SIDE
Choose any two of 150+ countries and put their numbers next to each other: weighing a job offer abroad, narrowing a relocation shortlist, or just curious how two economies compare.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick your home country and a destination country.
2. Enter a salary to see its purchasing power equivalent.
3. Open the cost comparison for housing, groceries, transport, healthcare and utilities.
4. Check the economic insights screen for GDP, inflation, unemployment and population trends.
PREMIUM INSIGHTS
An optional in-app purchase unlocks deeper AI analysis: monthly budget planning, quality of life analysis covering living standards, healthcare and safety, local spending customs, and cost trend outlooks. Salary conversion, cost comparison and the country data are free.
DATA SOURCES
Economic indicators, PPP conversion factors, exchange rates and country reference data come from the World Bank's public open data (CC BY 4.0). Read the original data at the source:
World Bank Open Data: https://data.worldbank.org
PPP conversion factor (PA.NUS.PPP): https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/PA.NUS.PPP
International Comparison Program (produces the PPP figures): https://www.worldbank.org/en/programs/icp
The "Popular Comparisons" figures on the home screen are migrant-stock counts from the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, International Migrant Stock 2020: https://www.un.org/development/desa/pd/content/international-migrant-stock
Indicators are cached on your device, so figures you have already loaded stay readable offline. AI insights need a connection.
Countrywise is an independent app. It is not a government entity, is not affiliated with or endorsed by the World Bank, the United Nations or any government, and does not provide government services. The same source links appear inside the app, next to the figures they apply to. Published figures are statistical estimates: use them for comparison and planning, and check the source where an exact number matters.
