Most home and car maintenance is not forgotten because people are careless. It
is forgotten because the last time it happened was four years ago and nobody
wrote it down.
Pro On The Way Lite is a maintenance log for the things you look after. Write
down what was done once, and it tells you what is coming.

WHAT IT DOES
• Track any number of homes and vehicles, and the things on them — roof,
furnace, water heater, gutters, oil changes, tires, inspections.
• Add a vehicle by its VIN and the year, make and model fill themselves in.
No hunting for your trim level.
• Sensible schedules come built in. Pick an item and it already knows roughly
how often it wants doing. "I do not know when it was last done" is a real
answer — the clock just starts today.
• See how much life something has had. Every item is measured against its real
expected lifespan, drawn on a proper scale, so a water heater near the end of
its range is obvious before it decides for you.
• Two kinds of money, counted apart. What things cost to buy and what they cost
to keep are different questions, and added together they answer neither.
There is a month-by-month chart and an estimate of the year ahead.
• Keep who you used. Anyone you record against a job goes into your contacts
with their number — the bit that matters at 9pm when the basement is filling
up and you are not the one who booked the plumber last time.
• Attach photos and receipts to any item or any visit, with captions.
• Share a home or a vehicle with a partner, a family member, or whoever else
looks after it. They see the history and can log work. They cannot delete
anything.
• Reminders in the app, by email, or as a notification on your phone. All off
by default except the in-app banner, and you can silence individual items.
• Sign in with your fingerprint instead of typing a password.
WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM
Expected lifespans come from InterNACHI's Standard Estimated Life Expectancy
Chart for Homes — the reference home inspectors use — plus common manufacturer
service intervals for vehicles. Vehicle details are decoded from your VIN using
the US federal vehicle database published by NHTSA.
Lifespans are ranges in the source and they stay ranges here. A roof lasting
"20 to 30 years" is the honest answer, and collapsing it to 25 would invent a
precision nobody has.
Nobody publishes reliable per-state figures, so this app does not pretend to
have them. It flags the items where weather genuinely moves the number and says
so.
IMPORTANT
These are general estimates for planning. This is not an inspection, an
appraisal, or professional advice, and it has never seen your property. Every
decision about when to inspect, service or replace anything is yours. If
something might be unsafe, have a professional look at it.
PRICING
Free to use. A paid plan may be introduced in future — if that happens you will
be told first, and anything you have already entered stays yours and stays
available to you.
