About this app

Ten years since its publication in 1988, Stephen Hawking's classic work has become a landmark volume in scientific writing, with more than nine million copies in forty languages sold worldwide. That edition was on the cutting edge of what was then known about the origins and nature of the universe. But the intervening years have seen extraordinary advances in the technology of observing both the micro-and the macrocosmic worlds.

These observations have confirmed many of Professor Hawking's theoretical predictions in the first edition of his book, including the recent discoveries of the Cosmic Background Explorer satellite, which probed back in time to within 300,000 years of the universe's beginning and revealed wrinkles in the fabric of space-time that he had projected.

Hawking was the first to set out a theory of cosmology explained by a union of the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. He was a vigorous supporter of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Stephen William Hawking is believed to be one of the most famous theoretical physicists in the 21st century. Stephen Hawking, in full Stephen William Hawking. He is an English theoretical physicist whose theory of exploding black holes drew upon both relativity theory and quantum mechanics. Apart from being a theoretical physicist, he was a famous cosmologist and author.

His adventures started before the diagnosis of his disease and continued long after.

Hawking was an excellent scientist and an excellent researcher. His discoveries reshaped our ideas of space and gravity.

Professor Stephen Hawking worked on the basic laws which govern the universe. With Roger Penrose, he showed that Einstein's general theory of relativity implied space and time would have a beginning in the Big Bang and an end in black holes (1970). These results indicated that it was necessary to unify general relativity with quantum theory, the other great scientific development of the first half of the 20th century. One consequence of such a unification that he discovered was that black holes should not be completely black, but rather should emit 'Hawking' radiation and eventually evaporate and disappear (1974). Another conjecture is that the universe has no edge or boundary in imaginary time.

This would imply that the way the universe began was completely determined by the laws of science. Towards the end of his life, Stephen was working with colleagues on a possible resolution to the black hole information paradox, where debate centers around the conservation of information.

Famous people share their biographies because they have their beautiful struggles, half failed but faith till strong successes to share with the whole wide world. These people are motivational speakers to motivate the masses out there and help people who are struggling. They explain everything that happened in their life from A-Z to achieve the status they acquired over the years, the pains, sufferings, rejections, fights, and wins.
