About this app

PUBLIUS — THE CIVIC EDUCATION APP FOR AMERICA'S 250TH

Publius was the secret pen name Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay used to publish the Federalist Papers — the 85 essays that convinced America to ratify the Constitution. We borrowed their name because we share their mission: make civic knowledge accessible to everyone.

LEARN WHAT THE FOUNDERS LEARNED

The Founders didn't invent self-government out of thin air. They studied the ancients. Publius connects you to the same classical education that shaped the American experiment — from Aristotle's Politics to Cicero's Republic to the radical ideas of the Enlightenment.

47 LESSONS. 6 FOUNDERS. 5 CLASSICAL TRACKS.

Founding Fathers:
• Benjamin Franklin — printer, scientist, diplomat
• George Washington — commander, president, precedent-setter
• Thomas Jefferson — author of the Declaration, champion of liberty
• John Adams — revolutionary lawyer, constitutional architect
• Alexander Hamilton — treasury architect, Federalist author
• James Madison — Father of the Constitution

Classical Education:
• Socrates — the examined life and civic virtue
• Cicero — republican duty and the rule of law
• Aristotle — citizenship, constitutions, and the common good
• The Enlightenment — natural rights, consent, and revolution
• Plutarch — the lives that inspired the Founders

DESIGNED FOR BUSY AMERICANS

Each lesson takes about 5 minutes. Beautiful illustrated cards guide you through key ideas, events, and connections. No textbooks. No lectures. Just tap, learn, and quiz yourself.
