During disasters like a hurricane, anonymized tracking data will be used for Public Benefit Research to study evacuation routes, asset positioning in relation to help requests, social equitable resource distribution, types of help needed, geographic based data, and more. Data can aid in a future response in order to be more efficient and less expensive.

Features

1. Update My Status for family, friends and rescuers. "I'm okay". "Going to rally point". "Home destroyed".

2. Request help - post a request for general assistance. Food, diapers, animal rescue. Always call 911 first.

3. Volunteers may respond to requests for help from other users or as assigned by an NGO when in Responder status.

4. Emergency responders can monitor the data being reported in real-time and allocate resources appropriately.

5. Private companies can see the requests being made in their area and push resources to those stores.

6. Aid organizations can monitor worker's location globally in cell data coverage.

Location Disclosure & Privacy Policy

This app collects location data to enable the following features even when the app is closed or not in use. You can change disable or modify some or all features in the app under the Settings menu or Visibility functionality. Reasonable efforts are made to anonymize location data.

1. Geolocation-based alerts from various sources such as FEMA, NWS, USGS, etc.
2. Last known location in case you need help
3. Your location in relation to others that may need help
4. Proximity to an active shooter alert
5. Travel activity just before, during, and after a disaster or emergency for public benefit research

Disabling or adjusting settings may eliminate being able to receive location-based alerts and communication and receive any rescue or assistance.

Hello all, I have loaded this on 2 different phones one last year a Samsung and this month on a new LG. The LG load is lagging/locking up horribly on the map. I have to terminate it and restart. I am hoping to use this later in year but not like this. Anyone else having these issues?

This is a very good app for individuals and volunteer organizations to use for humanitarian aid missions after a natural disaster or state of emergency. Everyone in Florida should download this app now and use it to help each other after Dorian passes.

As it was intended, people helping people in times of trouble. PubSafe is a valuable tool that helps us to help each other.
