ErWin is the digital emergency response system for wind farms.
The app supports qualified responders, service personnel, and participating organizations in responding quickly and in a coordinated manner to emergencies at wind turbines.
ErWin combines qualification-based alerting with relevant plant, location, and incident information. Alerted personnel receive the information they need to make decisions and plan their route directly on their smartphones.
ErWin features:
• Receive emergency alerts and view incident details
• Accept alerts and report your own status
• Start navigation to the affected wind turbine
• Retrieve coordinates, access routes, and waypoints
• View plant and location information
• Check distance and estimated travel time
• View relevant contacts and emergency information
• Upload your qualification certificates
• View active and past alerts
When issuing alerts, ErWin considers factors such as qualifications, role, availability, and proximity. This allows for targeted responses to individuals best suited to the specific situation.
During an ongoing operation, the status tracking ensures transparency. Participants can, for example, indicate whether they have accepted an emergency, are en route, or have arrived at the scene.
ErWin was specifically developed for the unique requirements of wind farms. Remote locations, difficult-to-find access routes, and differing responsibilities are integrated into a seamless digital emergency process.
The app is particularly aimed at:
• Qualified app-based emergency responders
• Service technicians
• Wind farm operators and managers
• Service companies
• Participating control centers and organizations
Use is free for registered and activated app users. Some functions are only available within participating organizations or supported regions.
Important note: ErWin does not replace the public emergency number or notification via the responsible emergency control center. In case of imminent danger, always call the emergency number 112.
