PureNote is a purely functional note-taking app. No accounts, no ads, no data collection—every word you write stays on your own device.
■ What You Write Is What You Get
No need to switch back and forth between "Edit" and "Preview". Write # for a title, type - [ ] for a to-do list, and the markers disappear the moment you finish writing, leaving only the formatted text. Tables, code blocks, images, handwriting, and audio recordings are all directly editable, not incomprehensible source code.
■ Write Whatever Comes to Mind, and Find It Again
Connect your notes with [[two-way links]] to automatically generate backlinks and relationship graphs;
#tags can be easily categorized; full-text search supports the first letter of pinyin.
Your writing won't sink to the bottom—calendar, to-do list aggregation, and "This Day Last Year" help you return to that page.
■ Your Data
· All content is stored locally on your device, without passing through any servers (we don't have servers either).
· Need multi-device synchronization? Connect to your own WebDAV (Nutstore/NAS/any service).
End-to-end encryption can also be enabled—only encrypted text is stored in the cloud, and service providers cannot read it.
· Export to standard Markdown files anytime, without locking or binding.
· Time Machine automatically backs up the entire database daily; even accidentally deleted files can be recovered.
■ Quiet Layout
Built-in Xiawu Wenkai font, smooth mixed Chinese and English text layout. Five color schemes are available, and you can also customize paper color,
emphasis color, and heading color. Font size and font can be easily changed, making long articles easy to read.
■ Private Parts, Locked Up
Individual notes can be set to private and stored in a private space requiring fingerprint/facial recognition verification;
Screenshots are automatically disabled while enabled, and the content is not visible in recent tasks.
———— PureNote does not collect any data, does not request permissions unrelated to its function, and has no third-party statistics or advertising SDKs.
It does only one thing: lets you write quietly.
A purely functional note-taking system. What you write is what you get; the data is entirely in your hands.
