Compass is a simple, ad-free digital compass built to help you find your direction outdoors and in the city.

Whether you are hiking a trail, setting up camp, or navigating busy streets, Compass shows your heading clearly through a clean, readable interface — on a classic dial, over your live camera view, or on a map. No ads, no account, nothing to distract you.

WHY COMPASS?
This app respects your privacy. No ads, no account, no analytics or tracking. Online features are optional and can be turned off in Settings at any time: when they are on, your approximate location is sent to Open-Meteo for weather and your location to Google for your address, and the map loads from OpenStreetMap when you open it. We don't receive or store this data.

USE IT OFFLINE
Compass keeps working where there is no signal — on a mountain, in a forest, or abroad without a SIM card. The offline compass lets you switch between true north and magnetic north with no connection at all; the level, saved places and sun & moon times work offline too. Only weather, address and map need the internet.

CAMERA AND MAP
Point your phone and see north, east, south and west over the live camera image. Switch to the map to see where you are facing, save places, and get the direction and distance to any point.

SUN AND MOON
See sunrise and sunset, golden hour, blue hour and the moon phase for your location, and get a reminder before golden hour, sunset or a full moon.

ALTITUDE AND MAGNETIC FIELD
Compass does more than point the way. Check the elevation of your current position and measure the magnetic field strength around you — useful for tracking altitude on a hike, or spotting magnetic interference that can affect a compass reading.

TRUE NORTH OR MAGNETIC NORTH?
Magnetic North is where a compass needle naturally points. True North is the geographic north pole. Map reading usually calls for True North, while classic compass use relies on Magnetic North. Compass supports both — switch with a single tap.
