About this app

Blur faces, license plates and people in any video or photo. PutMask is a free video censor app that finds faces automatically, blurs or pixelates them, and keeps them covered while they move. It works fully offline, with no ads and no data collection.

BLUR FACES IN VIDEO AUTOMATICALLY
Face detection finds faces from any angle, even faces as small as 10x10 pixels, and in crowds. Choose blur, mosaic, pixelate, black and white, or a solid color, and PutMask tracks each face through the whole clip so you do not blur frame by frame by hand.

BLUR LICENSE PLATES
License plate detection finds car number plates and censors them automatically. Useful for dashcam video, car sale photos and street footage.

HIDE A WHOLE PERSON
Person detection covers the entire body, not only the face. With person segmentation the mask follows the real outline of the body instead of a rectangle around it.

CENSOR ANYTHING ELSE BY HAND
• Motion Track follows any object you choose, a tattoo, a house number, a screen, a logo
• Record lets you hold your finger on something and move with it while the video plays
• Key Frame sets points and moves the filter between them
• Detect searches a single frame when the automatic pass misses a face

MOSAIC, PIXELATE OR BLUR
Mosaic effect, random colors, black and white, gaussian blur, median blur, or a solid color fill. Solid color leaves nothing behind and exports fastest. The others always keep some trace of the original picture, which is why they look better. Shapes: rectangle, ellipse, or a line you draw yourself and can draw on or erase later.

CENSOR AUDIO AND CHANGE THE VOICE
A name said out loud, an address or a phone number identifies a person as well as a face does. Mute the whole audio track, silence or beep only the seconds you choose, or change the voice so the speaker is not recognisable.

FAST DETECTION, GPU SUPPORTED
Detection runs on the CPU, OpenCL or Vulkan. Find Best benchmarks every option on your own phone and tells you which one is fastest, so you are not guessing.

VIDEO EDITING TOOLS
Frame by frame review, zoom, live preview, undo and redo, filter duration you can drag or set exactly, single frame edits, default settings for new filters, and projects you can save and reopen later. Export up to 4K with control over resolution and frame rate. Your original video is never changed.

WORKS OFFLINE, NO DATA COLLECTED
No account, no ads, no tracking, and no internet connection needed to censor a video or a photo. The app only asks to read and write your videos and images. We do not use your advertising ID, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not collect analytics. Nothing you censor leaves your phone.

Ratings and reviews

Great detecting and tracking. After using the paid version for a little more than a month, I will say I'm still happy with it. I lowered it from 5 stars to 4 though, because I wish there was more customizability where the track and detect feature is concerned. You can fetect/track faces and license plates. I do wish there was the option to sordid select what you want detected and tracked (for example, detecting/ tracking tattoos or other things like that). Still very happy with it though.

Very promising app! Saw the recommendation on Reddit and thought I'd give it a try. Works well! Looking forward to having the ability to remove the watermark. Also, it would be great to have different shapes besides a square to censor, even the addition of a circle and rectangle would be nice. The ability to resize the auto face detector would be huge. In my case, it tracked the face perfectly but covered up too much around the face. Can't wait for the update to give you money and 5 stars!
