Cannibalization, striking distance queries and quick wins: they are already in your Search Console
data, but Search Console does not work them out for you. Search Radar does, on your phone and with
no servers in between.
WHAT SEARCH CONSOLE DOES NOT GIVE YOU
- Cannibalization. Queries where several of your own pages compete, with the page worth
consolidating into and an estimate of the clicks being split. It only proposes a target page that
already takes at least 15% of the demand: the average position of a tiny sample is not comparable
to that of a large one.
- Striking distance. Queries already ranking between positions 8 and 20 with at least 50
impressions, sorted by the clicks you would gain if they reached the top 5.
- Quick wins. All of the above in a single list, sorted by the clicks you can win back: pages that
show up high but get few clicks, queries one push from the top, and demand split across URLs.
- Google updates, on the chart. Core and spam updates appear as bands covering the exact dates
Google rolled them out, not as a single line: a rollout lasts days or weeks, and that changes how
you read a rise or a drop.
AND PERFORMANCE, WORKED OUT PROPERLY
- Clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, with the change against the previous period and a
chart you can read at a glance. Drag your finger across the curve to see any single day.
- The CTR for a period is total clicks over total impressions, not the average of the daily CTRs,
and average position is weighted by impressions. It sounds like a detail and it changes the numbers.
HOW IT WORKS OUT WHAT IT TELLS YOU
The "expected" CTR does not come from a generic table. Search Radar builds the CTR-by-position
curve of your own site wherever there is enough sample, and only falls back to a reference curve
where your data is too thin. That is why it can tell you a page gets few clicks FOR YOUR SITE,
which is the only actionable version.
When a page looks under-clicked, the app does not claim the cause, because Search Console data
cannot tell: it names the three likely ones (the title, an AI Overview taking the click, or a
mismatched intent) and lets you decide.
YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
There are no servers. The app talks straight to Google's API from your device with read-only
permission, and the data stays there. No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no account to create:
sign in with Google and you are in.
MULTI-SITE
Built for people running several projects: see all your Search Console properties and switch
between them from the top bar, each with its own history.
REQUIREMENTS
A Google account with at least one verified property in Search Console. Search Console publishes
data with a two or three day delay, so the last available day is not today: the app anchors every
period to the last consolidated day so comparisons stay fair.
Search Radar is an independent app by Posicionamiento Web Systems and is not associated with or
