DeviceTrail is a private Android event logger for people who want a clear local timeline of what happens on their device.
Track app openings, device unlocks, network changes, package updates, power events, and other Android events available through authorized system APIs. DeviceTrail stores logs locally on your phone, gives you simple and advanced views, and lets you search, filter, export, or reopen logs as CSV and JSON.
Why DeviceTrail:
- Simple timeline for readable activity logs
- Advanced event log for detailed system and app entries
- Network link details such as local IP, DNS, routes, interface, proxy, and Private DNS when Android exposes them
- Fast search and event type filters
- CSV and JSON export/import
- Foreground service for compliant background monitoring
- Local-first design with no cloud account and no Internet permission
Privacy and Android limits:
DeviceTrail only uses Android-authorized APIs. Usage Access is required to detect foreground app openings. Android does not expose browser page URLs, browser history, file contents, or every remote per-app network destination to regular apps. Logs stay local unless you export them yourself.
Built for diagnostics, personal auditing, app testing, troubleshooting, and anyone who wants a transparent local device event history without cloud tracking.
Private local logs for app opens, network changes and Android events.
