Q Chat is a welcoming, intent-first text chat app for connecting with purpose, exchanging help, and finding a place to belong. Version 2.0.0 begins as a focused open beta for people aged 16 and older.

CHOOSE YOUR PURPOSE

Join one of four fixed rooms: make friends, find a community, build business connections, or discuss allowed local buying and selling. Every path stays platonic. Dating, romantic matching, and hookup use are not allowed.

TEXT-ONLY OPEN BETA

Send and receive text messages in purpose-led rooms. Audio, video, images, GIFs, attachments, subscriptions, and paid features are not part of this beta.

SAFETY-FIRST CHAT

Outgoing text receives temporary Supabase Edge moderation and on-device safety checks before delivery. Received text is checked again on-device. Long-press a received message to report it or block its sender. Automated checks may miss harmful content, so community reporting remains important.

HONEST MESSAGE PRIVACY

Messages are encrypted on your device before temporary relay storage. This beta is not end-to-end encrypted because Q Chat and its temporary Supabase service can access the room key. Relay messages normally expire after about 24 hours, while copies already cached on another device may remain there.

PSEUDONYMOUS SIGN-IN

Use Google or email sign-in and choose a Q Chat username. Your beta profile stays focused on conversation rather than follower counts or public identity.

Q Chat is built for safe text chat, making friends, community conversations, business networking, and local buy/sell discussions—all centered on clear intent.

Minimum age: 16. Android only. Internet connection required. Open beta features may change as we learn and improve.

Ratings and reviews

I was hoping it had more settings. Was expecting it to have way more women. It was a total sausage fest. A couple innapropiate live videos of men beating off. I dont think i even came across a single female. Might be a decent app if you are searching for men. Would maybe be alright just to talk to men (and maybe a woman or two after a hundred men lol) or make male friends. Hardly any settings nor preferences for search.

I tried to research QIU TECHNOLOGIES & was unsuccessful finding anything at all, very concerning. Had to dump them because of a simple rule. I should be able to know who I'm dealing with, they have my information?
