About this app

A Qibla compass that tells you how much to trust it, and prayer times that work without a signal.

POINTED AT TRUE NORTH
Your phone's compass measures magnetic north, but the direction of the Kaaba is a bearing from true north. In parts of North America and Oceania those differ by as much as 20 degrees. This app corrects for that using the World Magnetic Model, so the needle points where it should.

KNOW WHEN TO TRUST IT
Most Qibla apps show you a needle and leave you wondering. This one tells you when your compass needs calibrating, warns you when something nearby is interfering with it — a laptop, a car dashboard, anything metal — and says plainly if your device has no compass sensor at all, rather than showing a needle that never moves.

TURN-BY-TURN
"Turn right 34°" until you're facing the Qibla, then a clear confirmation. The exact bearing and your distance to Makkah are always on screen.

PRAYER TIMES, FULLY OFFLINE
A daily schedule with a live countdown to the next prayer, worked out on your phone from astronomical calculation. No internet connection is needed at any point.

The calculation method is chosen automatically for wherever you are — Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, Karachi across the subcontinent, ISNA in North America, Diyanet in Türkiye, and others — along with the Asr madhab commonly followed there. Thirteen methods and both madhabs can be set by hand if you prefer, and there are three high-latitude rules for places where the sun never reaches the Fajr or Isha angle.

Times are calculated for the time zone of where you actually are, so they stay correct when you travel even if your phone's clock hasn't caught up.

OPTIONAL REMINDERS
A notification at the start of each prayer, if you want one.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Your location is read on this device to work out the direction and the times, and it is never uploaded. There is no account and no tracking.

Set your own calculation method, Asr madhab and high-latitude rule at any time.
