About this app

Scan QR codes, read barcodes, and create codes to share from one simple app. QR Code Scanner Barcode Reader brings everyday scanning, code creation, printable labels, and privacy controls together in a clean workspace.

Scan codes wherever you find them
Point your camera at a QR code or barcode for a quick result. Choose a scanning filter for all codes, QR codes, retail codes, or 1D barcodes. Have a code in a screenshot or photo? Scan from an image instead. Batch scan helps when you need to work through several codes in one session.

That flexibility matters when the camera is not the easiest option. A code might be on another screen, saved in your gallery, or printed among many similar labels. Switch between the camera and image scanning to match the job, and narrow the scan filter when you know which kind of code you are looking for.

Create the code you need
Make a QR code for a link, plain text, Wi-Fi network, contact, email, or SMS. Choose the format that fits your task, including QR Code, Aztec, Data Matrix, PDF417, and Code 128. For QR codes, select an error-correction level and preview the result as you work. Templates help you get started with common uses such as guest Wi-Fi, a website, a business card, an event, or an asset label.

You can start with the content rather than a technical format: enter the details, choose a code type, and check the on-screen preview. A URL code can point to a page, a Wi-Fi code can help visitors connect, and a contact code can make details easier to pass along. Templates give common tasks a useful starting point without making you fill out an unrelated form.

Go beyond basic scanning
Use the local catalog to organize codes you work with. Compare two codes when the details matter, or verify a printed code before you put it into use. Create a label sheet from codes you type, a sequence, or a CSV file. Set the page size, rows, columns, margins, gaps, and captions for labels that fit your layout.

Label sheets support A4, Letter, and custom page sizes. Adjust the grid for your paper and choose whether to show a caption or the raw code. Typed values are handy for a small set, sequences help with numbered items, and CSV input gives you a way to work from an existing list. These controls are useful for equipment tags, stock identifiers, or organizing a collection of physical items. Set up labels for stock, equipment, events, or any list you already have.

Keep control of your history
Saved scan history lives in a local database on your device. Search past codes, notes, and tags when you need to find something again. You decide whether history is saved. Sensitive payloads such as Wi-Fi passwords, payment URIs, and ID data are not saved by default. Start scans in incognito to leave no record, thumbnail, or payload, and choose whether opening History requires your device biometrics or credentials.

History is useful for codes you expect to revisit, but it should be your choice. Leave regular history on for convenience, turn it off when you do not want a record, or begin scans in incognito. The separate setting for sensitive payloads helps prevent a password or other private detail from being kept just because you scanned it once.

Clean photos before sharing
The photo-cleaning tool can strip GPS information and blur faces. It is a practical extra when a photo contains a code but also includes details you would rather not share.

Made for real tasks
Scan a menu QR code, open a website link, check a product barcode, or read a code sent in a message. Create a Wi-Fi QR code for guests, make a contact code for a business card, prepare codes for inventory labels, or check that a printed barcode reads correctly. The home screen keeps scanning and creation close at hand, while tools for images, batches, labels, comparison, and verification are easy to find.

QR Code Scanner Barcode Reader gives you one place to scan, create, organize, and verify codes while keeping control over what your phone remembers.
