About this app
APRS Tracker Pro is a location tracking and messaging app built for licensed amateur (ham) radio operators who use the APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) network. It sends your GPS position to the APRS-IS network so other operators can see your station on the map in real time, and lets you exchange messages with other APRS stations.
LOCATION TRACKING
Your device's GPS position is reported to APRS-IS at an interval you choose. A smart tracking mode increases the reporting frequency automatically while you are moving, and reporting can continue while the app runs in the background.
MESSAGING
Send and receive APRS messages with other stations, keep a history of past conversations, and get notified when a new message arrives.
MAP VIEW
Tapping through to APRS.fi shows your position and nearby stations on a live map, so you can follow local APRS traffic from within the app.
WEATHER REPORTING
If enabled, the app can attach local weather readings, such as temperature, humidity and pressure, to your position reports.
CONFIGURATION FOR EXPERIENCED OPERATORS
The app supports multiple APRS-IS servers (including rotate.aprs2.net, euro.aprs2.net and asia.aprs2.net, or a custom server of your choice), custom APRS symbols, status and comment text, SSID/SSI settings, and a configurable beacon interval.
WHO THIS APP IS FOR
APRS Tracker Pro requires a valid amateur radio callsign and is intended only for licensed amateur radio operators. Please note that APRS is a public network by design: any position or message you send is visible to other operators on the network.
PRIVACY
Location and configuration data are stored only on your device. The app does not collect personal information, contains no ads, and does not use third-party trackers. Source code is publicly available on GitHub for anyone who wants to review how the app works.
