About this game

Black & Solve is a nonogram (picross) logic puzzle game. Use the number clues on each row and column to fill cells or mark them empty, and uncover the picture hidden in the grid.

How to play
Each clue lists the lengths of the black-cell groups on that line. Groups are separated by at least one empty cell. Fill what must be black, mark what must be empty, and work line by line until the grid is complete. No guessing is required when the clues are followed through.

Play the way you prefer
Three mistake modes:
• Ignore - play without interruption
• Warn - get a notice when a fill does not match the solution
• Prevent - blocked from placing a cell that does not match the solution

Automatic X-marking fills the remaining cells on a completed line so you can move on to the next clue.

Big screens, keyboard and mouse
On a tablet, a Chromebook or an Android laptop the board stays centred and the window can be any size. Arrow keys move the cursor, Space fills a cell, X crosses one, and Ctrl+Z undoes a move. Click and drag to paint a run, right-click to cross, and hold Ctrl with the wheel to zoom.

Black & Solve works fully offline. There is no account and no registration. Progress is saved on your device.
