A sky for every evening, drawn from a place and a day.

Gloaming makes a new sunset each evening — a sky generated in the moment from your exact location and the date. The same place on the same day always yields the same sky, so the one you watch tonight is genuinely yours. You can keep it, return to it, and find it unchanged.

No camera saw this sky. It is drawn from where you stand and the turning of the day — one that has never existed, and won't come again.

Computed, not photographed: a photograph is someone else's evening, and this one is yours to keep.

Every sky is drawn from where you are and when. The moon holds its true phase for the date; your local sunset time is calculated to the minute. Around that, the light, the clouds, the horizon, and the sea are composed — a sky for the day, not a photo of it. No two evenings are quite the same.

Step into any of 581 cities, on any date — past or future. The evening you were born, last New Year over Tokyo, a day yet to come: travel through time and place to any evening, and keep the skies you find. One engine for any place and any day.

Make a sky of your own. The atelier lets you compose one across palette, clouds, land, sea, night, and the occasional aurora — then frame it your way, choosing the camera, lens, and composition. Name it, keep it; the skies you shape gather in your Creations.

The range.
Twelve palettes — amber, magenta, peach, crimson, teal, lavender, wildfire, cobalt, pale blue, steel, polar, and the green flash. Clouds from clear to wispy cirrus, puffy cumulus, haze, and overcast. Horizons of open sea, distant islands, rolling hills, jagged mountains, a city skyline, a forest treeline, a desert mesa. Seas that lie glassy, ripple, turn choppy, glow tropical, roll with swell, or break into waves. And now and then an aurora — only at latitudes where one could really appear — and the moon running through its true phases.
