Use your phone's volume buttons for more than volume. PressDeck lets you assign supported Volume Up and Volume Down gestures to simple shortcuts while keeping the experience focused, predictable and transparent about device limitations.
MAP SUPPORTED VOLUME-BUTTON GESTURES
Choose supported double presses and long presses for Volume Up or Volume Down, then assign an action such as:
• Play or pause compatible media
• Launch an app
• Open the camera
• Toggle a supported flashlight
• Open selected Android settings with Pro
• Move to the next or previous track with Pro
PressDeck stays intentionally smaller than a general macro engine. It focuses on deterministic shortcuts for the two volume buttons you already use.
TEST WHAT YOUR PHONE SUPPORTS
Android phones and manufacturers handle hardware keys differently. PressDeck includes guided compatibility testing so you can check supported behavior on your device instead of relying on universal claims.
KEEP NORMAL VOLUME BEHAVIOR UNDERSTANDABLE
Single presses remain dedicated to normal volume behavior within supported conditions. When PressDeck cannot safely reproduce or verify expected volume behavior, it yields control back to Android rather than forcing a shortcut.
LOCAL-FIRST BUTTON REMAPPING
Your mappings and core remapping logic run on the device. PressDeck does not require a PressDeck account, advertising service, analytics SDK or first-party cloud backend in the current release.
CLEAR FREE AND PRO BOUNDARIES
Free includes one active shortcut and eligible core actions. An optional one-time lifetime Pro purchase unlocks additional eligible active shortcuts plus selected media and Android Settings actions. Google Play handles the purchase workflow.
ACCESSIBILITY API DISCLOSURE
PressDeck uses Android AccessibilityService for the limited purpose of detecting supported Volume Up and Volume Down hardware-key events and running shortcuts you configure. Non-volume hardware keys delivered through that callback are ignored. PressDeck does not use AccessibilityService to read screen content or typed text, perform autonomous taps or swipes, or remotely control your device.
IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY LIMITS
Hardware-key behavior can vary by manufacturer, Android version, lock-screen state, screen state, media state, DND configuration, output route and power management. Some gestures may not work in every situation or on every device. PressDeck reports tested support rather than promising universal button remapping.
Turn supported volume-button presses into shortcuts for actions you choose.
