Commit is a communication app with one rule: you can't post right now.

Write the thing: the hot take, the announcement, the 2am letter, and lock it to a time. It goes out exactly when you said it would. There is no unsend. There is no edit. There is no quiet delete at 3am when you lose your nerve.

The only way to stop a commit is to buy your way out of it, at a price you set yourself, back when you were still brave. It's free if it ships. It only ever costs you if you take it back.


HOW IT WORKS

1. Write it. Words, photos, video.
2. Set a time: in 10 minutes, in 1 hour, 2 hours or custom
3. Live with it. It's on the clock, and your circle can see it coming.


WHAT'S INSIDE

Letters. Write someone an actual letter. It's sealed with wax, it arrives in an envelope, and they have to break the seal to read it. Slip a photo inside.

Circles. Your people. Post to a circle and everyone in it gets it, and anyone in it can post back.

Double Down. Optional, and off unless you turn it on. Switch it on and the cost of backing out doubles for the final five minutes. You get one warning before it does.

The record. What you kept, and what you took back. Both go on your profile.


Commit is not about punishing yourself. Nothing bad happens when you go through with it — that is the entire point. It's free if it drops. The only thing that ever costs you is the flinch.
