THE MOBILE VTT

Ratings and reviews

As a streamer, I have to accommodate many different types of guests that join my streaming session. Not everyone’s tech-savvy, plus with covid and everything else, many people's tech is out of date. This app is especially useful for people with older computers or none at all. Quest Portal is constantly updating their app, increasing their phone support and keeping people aware of their roadmap for the future. They clearly have a strong focus on ease of use and do an excellent job of that.

I'm sure it can be better, but it's clunky. for example, 5 of the 6 primary stats rolled correctly, but one of them was doing 1d20 + (stat + 10/2) and was giving Ludacris results. I think rather than attempting to rely on AI for everything, perhaps you could build some ttrpg default profiles for character sheets, and then use AI for the additional stuff. as usual, AI isn't quite there yet.

I found the app to be needlessly confusing. Even the simple task of creating character sheets for my NPCs was difficult with how this app is laid out. As a GM, I was hopeful for a tool for storing my game data and running combat on mobile, but I'm afraid that the price of this app is too steep for me to invest this much time transferring over my lore, especially given how clunky it feels. Great idea, but I may revisit when the creators have had more time to iron out the issues. Deleting for now.
