About this app

Bedtime shouldn't be a negotiation.

QuietTime turns the phone or tablet quiet at the times you choose, so the evening ends without the nightly argument about screens. Set your quiet hours once and it takes care of itself — every school night, every weekend, every holiday.

Quiet hours that run themselves
Give every day of the week its own start and end time. Later on Fridays, earlier on school nights, a different pattern in the holidays. When Quiet Time begins, a calm full-screen block appears and the device stays quiet until morning.

It works when it matters
The block screen stays on top of games, videos and other full-screen apps, and appears within seconds of quiet hours starting — so being mid-game isn't a way around it. It comes back after a restart, too.

Focus Lock for homework
One tap blocks everything for 25, 50 or 90 minutes — or any length you choose. Perfect for homework, revision or dinner. It works even when your normal schedule is switched off, and ends by itself.

See where the time really goes
Screen-time insights show total screen time and the most-used apps for today or the last seven days. It's worked out on the device as you look at it — nothing is stored by us, and nothing is uploaded.

The apps that matter still work
Choose which apps stay available during Quiet Time — the phone and clock by default. There's an emergency call button on the block screen, always — and you can add one contact by name, so your child taps “Call Grandma” instead of trying to remember a number.

You stay in control
Settings sit behind a 6-digit PIN. Grant extra time, unlock early, or lock the device right now from the app, a Quick Settings tile or a home-screen widget. Wind-down reminders and a gentle chime give a warning before quiet hours begin.

Genuinely private, genuinely free
No account. No sign-up. No cloud. No adverts. No tracking. No subscription. Everything — your PIN, schedules, activity log and screen-time figures — stays on the device and is deleted when you uninstall. QuietTime is free, supported by optional donations.

Also included
• Per-day schedules, reusable presets and one-off days off
• Activity log with CSV export, so you can see what happened and when
• Nine calming block-screen themes
• Wind-down warnings with a choice of chimes
• Optional protection against a child uninstalling the app
• Help and illustrated guides built into the app
• 16 languages, and it follows your device language automatically
• Works on phones and tablets

QuietTime is a scheduling tool to help families agree screen-time limits — not a security product, and not a substitute for a conversation. It cannot guarantee a device is blocked in every circumstance.
