QuiltGem AI Pricing turns the slowest step in a thrift or resale operation — deciding what a donated item is and what it should sell for — into a few seconds of work.

Point your phone at an item on the receiving table and take a photo. QuiltGem identifies what it is, picks the right category from your own store's category tree, and proposes a price using your store's real price points. Your team reviews the suggestion, adjusts anything that looks off, saves it to inventory, and prints the barcode label on the spot.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Photograph the item.
2. Optionally photograph its brand or care tag, or scan a product barcode.
3. Read the proposal: name, category, price with a suggested range, brand, size, colour, material, condition, and a confidence score.
4. Edit anything you disagree with. Every field is yours to change.
5. Save. The item lands in your store's inventory and the price label prints.

Some donations are worth far more than the shelf price. QuiltGem checks recently sold comparables after an item is saved and flags anything that looks underpriced, so a valuable donation gets a second look before it reaches the floor for a few dollars.

CONSISTENCY, NOT JUST SPEED

Pricing tends to drift between people and between shifts. Because every item is priced against the same category tree and the same rules, a new volunteer's first day looks a lot more like an experienced processor's.

REQUIREMENTS

This is a staff tool, not a shopping app. You need an account at a store running a supported Quilt Software point-of-sale system, and a manager authorises each device once using a pairing code. A label printer is optional — everything except printing works without one.

Photos of items are sent to our servers for analysis and retained for a limited period so stores can audit pricing decisions. No personal data about your staff is collected beyond the username issued by your POS, and there is no advertising or tracking of any kind.
