About this app

Quix Chat — A Private, Safe Chat App With No Phone Number Required

Quix Chat is built for people who want to connect without exposing their phone number. No one can message you just because they have your number. You connect only by consent, and you stay in control of every conversation.

WHY QUIX CHAT
Most messaging apps are built around your phone number — anyone who has it can find and message you. Quix Chat doesn't use phone numbers at all. You sign in with just your email and a one-time passcode, and that email is used only for sign-in: never visible, never searchable, never shared. You decide who can reach you, every time.

END-TO-END ENCRYPTED DIRECT CHATS
Your one-to-one messages, photos, and voice notes are end-to-end encrypted on your device, so no one in between can read them. Group and Room messages are secured in transit and at rest, and the app tells you clearly which kind of chat you are in.

CONNECT WITHOUT EXCHANGING PHONE NUMBERS
Selling something online? Meeting someone new? Instead of trading phone numbers, connect through Quix Chat.
• Share a one-time Quix Chat number (an in-app ID, not a phone number) with someone you do not fully trust yet
• Share your permanent Quix Chat number with people you know and trust
• Pair instantly by QR code or invite link
• Both people must agree before you connect
• Deleted contacts need mutual approval to reconnect
Your phone number is never part of the exchange, and your existing chats stay private.

A DIFFERENT PROFILE FOR EVERY GROUP
Use a different display name and profile in each group, so you decide exactly what you share in each space. Because you pick your own display name, you can chat anonymously to other members while keeping full control of your account. Ideal for communities, buy-and-sell groups, teams, and private discussions.

GROUPS & ROOMS FOR REAL LIFE
Organize conversations the way real teams work. Create a group for your community or organization, then split it into Rooms (for example Marketing, HR, or Projects). Rooms can be public or private within a group. Run polls, pin announcements, and keep every topic in its own space.

STATION — BROADCAST YOUR OWN CHANNEL
Create a Station to share announcements, updates, and short video posts with everyone who follows you — a one-way broadcast channel built for creators, communities, and businesses. Post up to two short video updates a day, visible for 72 hours, and keep your audience in the loop without opening a group chat. Station posts are secured in transit and at rest, just like your groups and rooms.

GLOBAL CHAT — DROP INTO A LIVE PUBLIC ROOM
Join public chat rooms under a nickname of your choosing, no profile or contact required. Global Chat is real-time and ephemeral: nothing is stored on our servers once a conversation moves on, so you can jump into a live room and step away without leaving a trace.

What’s new

This update introduces two new ways to connect: Station, your own broadcast channel for followers and subscribers, and Global Chat, live public rooms you can join instantly. It also speeds up voice and video call connections, improves push notification reliability after device idle time, and fixes several contact deletion and chat history sync issues. Thanks for using Quix Chat.
