About this app

r53obd is a diagnostics and logging app built specifically for the first-generation MINI Cooper — R50, R52, and R53. These cars are too old for most modern diagnostic and coding apps, which start at the newer CAN-bus models. r53obd speaks their language.

Connect an OBDLink MX+ or compatible USB Cable and get:

REQUIRES the OBDLink CX or OBDLink MX+ adapter (sold separately) and OBD breakout or bridge (also sold separately) or ISTA Compatible K/DCAN USB cable for live vehicle data. Inexpensive generic ELM327 clones are not supported for the MINI-specific data and cannot be utilized for vehicle coding. For lawful diagnostics and maintenance on a vehicle you own.
