Lock your private photos, videos and files in a vault that never leaves your phone. Ciphergrove is a file vault and gallery with AES-256 encryption, no account to create and no cloud. Nothing is uploaded to us or anyone else, so nobody but you can open it.

• Second vault: a second PIN opens a separate vault with its own files and recovery code
• PIN or biometrics, auto-lock, a Lock now button, shake-to-lock and lock when face down
• Failed-attempt log: see when someone tried the wrong PIN
• Optional panic wipe, and an integrity check that verifies every file
• Screenshots and the recent-apps preview are blocked
• Print your recovery code or keep it somewhere safe. Encrypted backups are one file that only your recovery code opens, with a test-restore check

🌐 PRIVATE BROWSER
Browse the web and save images, videos and files straight into the encrypted vault, never to your phone's public storage. Bookmarks and history are encrypted inside the vault, and history can be turned off.

💬 72 LANGUAGES
Ciphergrove speaks your language, and on Android 13 and newer you can pick a different language for the app in your phone's settings.

🎁 FREE, WITH OPTIONAL PRO
Ciphergrove is free and shows a banner ad. Optional Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription, removes ads and adds Archive to server (move files you rarely open to your own server) and Advanced backup. An ad-free-only subscription is also available. Everything that keeps your files safe and private stays free, and nothing you stored is ever locked if you stop paying. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID; no file names, file contents or vault data are shared with the ad service.

IMPORTANT: Your files can only be opened with your PIN or biometrics, or your recovery code. Ciphergrove has no way to recover them if you lose both, so keep your recovery code somewhere safe.
