• Accessibility Service: Rafiq uses this service on the child's device only to implement parental-selected security settings: blocking unauthorized apps, daily limits, and bedtime. Rafiq only recognizes the name of the open app to compare it to these settings; it does not read, collect, or share screen content with any third party.

• Local VPN Service (VpnService): Rafiq uses this service on the child's device itself to run a website filter that blocks adult websites and explicit content before they are opened. The filtering is done on the device without routing browsing through external servers, and the websites the child visits are not logged.

Rafiq always appears with a persistent notification on your child's device, without any hidden monitoring. The protection can be turned off at any time in the device settings, with a parent receiving an alert.
