It works , it's not the prettiest interface, but it has the necessary info and is easy to read. The app can only update when someone who maintains or regulates your specific field or area actually updates the status on the app. It's up to the organization that does this to update the status of the field on the app, not the app itself. Ours updates at 4pm-ish depending on when the city does its update. As long as someone is keeping the info current, this app works exactly as it's supposed to.

Thanks for the great explanation Chris. We provide visual and textual indications of how current the status update is to better judge its accuracy.

Zero updates, and the app does not refresh at all. I've been checking it all afternoon as we stand in the pouring rain for lightning delays, and it says "refreshed 10 days ago, the fields we are currently at are good to go.". Not very accurate. Frustrating , as the phone number gives the exact same information.

Hi Collin. This sounds like an issue with the organization using our service to broadcast their status info, not with our app. Rainoutline provides a platform for organizations to broadcast their status. We do not control the status updates. Please contact

All of the low reviews are dumb people who have no clue what this is for. It works as advertised, and when my local trail managers want to close the trail I can see they've done so before I drive out there.
