Local Weather operates under a strict data-minimization model. We do not require, collect, request, or store any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or device identifiers.

We believe you should control your data. The app offers two seamless ways to get your weather:

Automated via Location (Optional): If you choose to grant location access, your precise or coarse geographic coordinates are securely transmitted via encrypted HTTPS protocols directly to the OpenWeatherMap API to fetch your local weather. This data is processed instantly in real-time and is never saved, tracked, or shared.

Manual via Search (No Permissions Required): If you prefer not to share your location, simply skip the permission screen! You will head straight to the home page, where you can manually type any city of your choice into the search bar to retrieve the full weather forecast instantly.
