Somebody always ends up doing the maths. SplitPot does it instead.

SplitPot is a group expense tracker and bill splitter for people who pool their money up front. Start a pot for a trip, a dinner or a flat. Everyone chips in, group expenses come out of the pot, and when it is over SplitPot works out the shortest set of payments that squares everyone up — then hands each one straight to your UPI app.

WHAT IT DOES

• Pool a kitty — add the people, record what each one put in, and watch the pot go down as you spend.

• Log expenses as they happen — what it was, how much, and a photo of the receipt if you want one.

• Say who actually paid. Money from the pot, or money someone fronted themselves — SplitPot counts both, so the friend who quietly paid for the cab gets it back.

• Leave people out of an expense they had no part in. Three of you shared the taxi, everyone shared the hotel — each expense splits only among the people it belongs to.

• See where everyone stands. Who is owed, who owes, and the per-head cost so far.

• Settle in seconds. SplitPot finds the fewest transfers that close the pot, so four friends do not make twelve payments to square up.

• Pay over UPI. Tap, and your UPI app opens with the amount and payee already filled in. Tick people off as they are paid.

• Send the whole thing to WhatsApp. Totals, who put in what, every expense grouped by who paid it, and who pays whom — one message the group can check for itself.

• Save the names you use again. Regulars are one tap away on the next trip.

• Back up and restore. Export everything to a single file, wherever you like to keep it.

Splitting group expenses goes wrong in the same two ways every time: nobody remembers who paid for what, and the person who fronted money quietly loses out. SplitPot records the payer on every expense and lets you leave people out of the ones they had no part in, so the split is the real one rather than a rough average.

No account. No sign-in. No server. Your pots, the people in them and every expense live in a database on your own device, and nothing is uploaded. There is nothing to close and nothing to delete remotely, because there is nothing of yours anywhere but here.
