About this app

Morselight, as the name suggests, is a flashlight app with Morse code functionality. This has become an open-source project, if you are interested in working on this project drop a mail to the developer.

What makes it different from thousands of other flashlight apps -

- With this app, you can not only send messages in Morse code but can also decode the incoming message.
- Auto decoding with camera
- Transmission speed of sending Morse code can be changed in settings.
- Morse code information is provided for the user.
- Super cool design.
- No internet connectivity is required

The purpose of this app is to facilitate communication between two operators in a short range (depending upon the visibility of the flashlight) especially when there is no cellular network available.
An easy to use Morse Decoder is also provided so that even unskilled observers can also decrypt the message

Update: New button is what I've been looking for! But there seems to be a slight bug where a single tap produces two quick flashes. Still, vast improvement, good job. I want a button which turns on the torch for the duration I'm holding it - on whilst touching, off when I let go. Also, where is this open source project hosted?

Hey Stephen, An option to turn the torch on while you are holding the button is added in the latest version. Link to source code is available in the app's Learn tab. Yes, I've also experienced the quick flash on/off when flash is released. It starts to work fine after a few times flash is switched on/off. I'll do some debugging on this.

the app is cool and the visuals too, sorry I thought the higher the number the higher the velocity, so I tried the highest number and got the slowest one, sorry, I misunderstood it, thank you

You can change the transmission speed from the side menu. I think fastest speed(0.05) is quite fast.

Utter BS. I have software flashing out a message to the Farnsworth standard at 10wpm. It came out with badly spelled meaningless sentences Play No limit with broadcast was a single wood.
