About this app

Vinylly is a dating app based entirely on music compatibility. We are the largest dating app for music lovers and we have just *reinvented* how to use Vinylly. Anyone can sign up in a few minutes; no streaming music service sync needed. You can now create an account with your email and password and create a profile using our Vinylly profile generator based on your music tastes alone. When you sign up this way, you can create and edit your playlist too! We have maintained the Spotify sync as a way to create a profile, if you prefer to let your Spotify streaming data do all the work. We have improved the concert search, suggestions and ticket purchase process in the chat. Beyond just a superficial swipe, Vinylly has the ability to match on a deeper level. And, when you stream more music, Vinylly uses that data to produce new matches. Vinylly’s “Suggest a Concert” feature encourages users to stop chatting and start dating, which offers a better chance at finding real relationships. Vinylly learns to understand you by learning about the music you love – and in doing so, puts the needle on true compatibility.

Vinylly is a new app and you'll probably have the best chance of meeting someone in major metro areas while we grow our music-loving database.

Vinylly has two options to view your match queue: $2.99 a moth or a $4.99 one time fee. There is no limit on the amount of profiles you can view, changes to your profile you can make and chats you can send. Use the provided conversation starters with references to a potential match's profile to easily get the conversation going. Think you want to take the next step and ask your match to see a show? You don't have to leave the chat--just click the calendar icon and select a virtual concert or live show based on an artist or a location and the show will appear in the chat.

In order to see your recent Spotify listening history under "Playlist," you need to have a Spotify Premium account. Spotify offers free trials for Premium that may be available.

I am trying to set up the app on my mobile phone and when it comes ot the "whoare you looking for" screen, women only" is already selected and does not allow me to change to "men". tried uninstalling and trying again but it is the same outcome. Very frustrating. Also, there is no notification of how or how much to pay. Any answers/help gratefully received.

Leaving a review in the hopes that someone can explain to me one thing: why is there now a $4.99 fee? I downloaded this app a long time ago - loved the concept, but there weren't any responsive users. Then it got so glitchy that it wouldn't open or update, and I forgot about it. I understand that this is a very low lifetime fee, but I thought it was supposed to be free if you joined early? Just wondering.

So unfortunately this is going to get a low score. I love the idea but the app needs a ton of work. there's hardly any people. It fails to pull info from spotify (which is required). You can only get help via messages to their socal media accounts. It often fails to save changes you make. And it's supposed to be a pay app (they do temporarily offer a free trial). I just hope they fix it so the idea can reach it's potential, it's difficult to recommend as is.
