About this app

Vinylly is a dating app based entirely on music compatibility. We are the largest dating app for music lovers and we have just *reinvented* how to use Vinylly. Anyone can sign up in a few minutes; no streaming music service sync needed. You can now create an account with your email and password and create a profile using our Vinylly profile generator based on your music tastes alone. When you sign up this way, you can create and edit your playlist too! We have maintained the Spotify sync as a way to create a profile, if you prefer to let your Spotify streaming data do all the work. We have improved the concert search, suggestions and ticket purchase process in the chat. Beyond just a superficial swipe, Vinylly has the ability to match on a deeper level. And, when you stream more music, Vinylly uses that data to produce new matches. Vinylly’s “Suggest a Concert” feature encourages users to stop chatting and start dating, which offers a better chance at finding real relationships. Vinylly learns to understand you by learning about the music you love – and in doing so, puts the needle on true compatibility.

Vinylly is a new app and you'll probably have the best chance of meeting someone in major metro areas while we grow our music-loving database.

Vinylly has two options to view your match queue: $2.99 a moth or a $4.99 one time fee. There is no limit on the amount of profiles you can view, changes to your profile you can make and chats you can send. Use the provided conversation starters with references to a potential match's profile to easily get the conversation going. Think you want to take the next step and ask your match to see a show? You don't have to leave the chat--just click the calendar icon and select a virtual concert or live show based on an artist or a location and the show will appear in the chat.

In order to see your recent Spotify listening history under "Playlist," you need to have a Spotify Premium account. Spotify offers free trials for Premium that may be available.

The concept of this app is amazing but the app itself is disappointing. I never saw any new matches outside of the initial ones shown in the beginning & there weren't many at all. I couldn't adjust my location settings to make the distance/radius larger so I could get more matches. I never got any kind of messages or activity from anyone making me think it could be one big scam. There was just something off about the way this app is for it being a dating app.

White text on white screen for birthdate, Terrible UI and user profiles, pics can hardly be seen and are low quality, missing a ton of music genres, not a bunch of people on it, lag on skip, needs way better points to match on. I appreciate the low 1 time sub price, but the app needs a ton of work for me to consider using it vs. paying for a more established app. Edit: Changed 2 stars to 1 star because my account got deleted for no reason. Uninstalled.

I like the concept, profile was pretty easy to set up but thats where it ends. This app should be a paid app. You can do nothing with the app until you pay. No looking at the one profile they show you, no skipping, no matching, nothing. Probably set up this way so they can bolster their user count and/or harvest some user data for their potential investors. Response: False advertising. You cannot even look at a potential match without paying, users are only allowed to edit their own profile.
