By signing up, you can share lifesaving information about your household with supported 9-1-1 centers and receive targeted emergency alerts.

When you call 9-1-1, your Smart911 Safety Profile displays in supported 9-1-1 centers nationwide. The 9-1-1 call takers can view your addresses, medical information, home information, pets and vehicles, and emergency contacts. You can provide as much or as little information as you like. This additional information enables 9-1-1 and first responders to send help fast.

Smart911 can also keep you informed of weather, traffic, and other emergencies by sending emergency alerts from the National Weather Service and local public safety agencies. You can select the types of notifications you want and how you want to be notified.

Ratings and reviews

Despite having several residence addresses registered with this app, the app is location based so an alert will only be received if you are within 25 miles of the location of the alert. A lot of people will commute further than that so they won't get any alerts pertinent to their home simply because they are outside of 25 miles. This doesn't make any sense. Alerts should be received for any addresses registered regardless of current physical location!!

I like smart 911, but this app needs a lot of work. The app is none responsive when trying to update information. It just brings me back to account page. I contactsd the developer and they responded with the instructions on how to update information and photos. I already know how to do that. I sent them a screen record of what is happening and did not get a response. I ended using the website instead to update our profiles.

The app won't even launch, just a warning pop up it force closed. Smart911 is still very important, but it's faster and easier to register on the website. We all need Smart911 so Dispatch Centers aren't stuck waiting to triangulate your location with cell-towers. Now rescue can find you quickly, after you enter your address, phone number, vehicles, and family (children), etc so they know exactly where you need help if worst case scenario happens and you can't talk or no time to ask for help.
