By signing up, you can share lifesaving information about your household with supported 9-1-1 centers and receive targeted emergency alerts.

When you call 9-1-1, your Smart911 Safety Profile displays in supported 9-1-1 centers nationwide. The 9-1-1 call takers can view your addresses, medical information, home information, pets and vehicles, and emergency contacts. You can provide as much or as little information as you like. This additional information enables 9-1-1 and first responders to send help fast.

Smart911 can also keep you informed of weather, traffic, and other emergencies by sending emergency alerts from the National Weather Service and local public safety agencies. You can select the types of notifications you want and how you want to be notified.

Already have an account with a username/password. this app won't let me sign on with my username. it only let's you sign on with a phone number which is how you get data breaches and spam. regardless, I already have a username. I don't want to give the app developers my phone number so I cannot use this app. also will not let you get alerts unless you leave on precise location at all times. absolutely unnecessary. if i want alerts from a particular area, that's my business. deleted.

Update... there was an update and it is working as expected now the only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because I haven't been able to see how well the notification aspect works. The app is frozen on the keep safe and connected wherever you are pop up and you can't get passed it, have uninstalled and reinstalled and it stops at the same spot, can not use it at all.

Edit: They sent out an update that allowed you to zoom out. It works. The only issue is my photos are oriented wrong. When given the option to upload a picture it tells you that you have to "pan and zoom in" however it doesnt let you. So instead you are left with a big blurry block and no actual recognizable facial features. That is a big flaw and defeats the purpose. So the app loses major points for that. Otherwise its fairly well put together and makes me feel confident with calling 911.
