About this app

Cosplit is a complete shared-living manager built for roommates, families, and small groups to handle expenses, responsibilities, and meal planning in one place. It replaces messy chat threads and spreadsheets with a clear system for tracking who paid, who owes, what’s planned, and what still needs to be done.

Dashboard (your group at a glance)
The dashboard gives every member an instant view of the group’s current financial position and activity:

Current balance summary showing your position in the group.

Total owed to you and how much you owe.

Spending insights by category, including groceries, utilities, and rent.

Monthly overview to help you understand spending patterns over time.

Your pending tasks so you never miss responsibilities.

Recent expenses so the group can quickly review the latest activity without searching.

Expenses with fair splitting
Adding an expense is fast and accurate. Enter amount, description, date, and category (groceries/utilities/rent/others), then select exactly which roommates/members should be included in that split. This ensures fairness in real situations—when only some people share a bill, only those people are included. Recent expenses remain editable so the records stay correct if something changes.

Settlement (who pays whom)
Cosplit includes a dedicated Settlement screen that clearly shows who needs to pay whom and how much. Instead of manual calculations, the app presents a simple payment direction so members can settle up confidently with fewer messages and fewer mistakes.

Add tab (three powerful actions)
From the Add section, you can manage all key group actions:

Add Expense: Record shared spending and split it with selected members.

Schedule Task: Create chores and responsibilities, keep track of what’s pending, and reduce misunderstandings in the group.

Schedule Food: Plan meals like breakfast/lunch/dinner, decide what will be prepared, and assign who will prepare it—making shared meal planning smooth and organized.

Tasks and scheduling
Cosplit supports task planning so chores like cleaning, trash, shopping, and bill reminders don’t get forgotten. Scheduled tasks help your group stay consistent, while pending tasks on the dashboard keep each member accountable.

Food planner
Plan meals ahead of time with a simple schedule. Assign who will cook and what will be prepared (for example breakfast plans), reducing last-minute confusion and helping roommates coordinate groceries and time.

Settings and profile management
The Settings area gives users control and personalization:

Profile management for your account.

Change password for security.

Add roommates (group-managed). The group owner/admin can invite and manage members.

Language selection to use the app in your preferred language.

Currency selection so amounts are shown in the currency that matches your region and preferences.

Multilingual support
Cosplit supports multiple languages for diverse households and international users, including English (EN), Arabic (AR), Urdu (UR), Bengali (BN), and Hindi (HI). This makes the app easy to use across different countries and communities.

Choose your preferred currency and view expenses in a familiar format, helping users across different regions track spending comfortably.

Smart notifications for the right users
Cosplit sends notifications to the respective users based on relevant group activity, helping members stay informed about updates without constantly opening the app.
