About Cryptograms:
A cryptogram is an encoded statement that requires a degree of strategy to decode. The cryptograms found in this puzzle game use a 1-to-1 substitution cipher. For example all of the letter N’s in a cryptogram might stand for the letter B in the decoded statement. Aside from letters nothing else in the statement has been changed, e.g. spacing and punctuation. In the case of this word game all statements are quotes from relatively famous to very famous individuals. Using your knowledge of the English language and grammar, see if you can decode the quote!

For the most part I enjoy the game. Its quick and fun. If it wasnt for it freezing all the time or those loud obnoxious ads, it would definitely get better ratings. I like to do these at night to relax me. But if i dont remember to lower volume or put my ear piece the ads comes on randomly and startle me and my husband. Truly annoying.

I like the puzzles, and the interface is good once you get used to it. The issue I have is the loud ads that pop up way too often, even if the phone volume is muted. If you want a game you can quietly enjoy, this isn't it. Be sure to play it only if you won't disturb anyone when the ad decides to take over.

Overall good, but it could use some fine tuning. On long quotes sometimes my screen cuts off the end and there's no scrolling. Also a frequency count feature would be helpful.

This is a very nice game, especially considering it's free instead of paying $3.99 for a paper Dell or Penny Press book. If you are a fast solver like me you may run into a few app pause/hangups but when you consider it isn't a memory or graphic intensive game it's to be expected. All and all it's a very good brain workout and time killer for free. So if you get a chance give this dev team a follow on Twitter and Facebook for their hard work.

I love Cryptograms and Cryptoquotes, so imagine how absolutely ecstatic I was to not only find an app that allows me to decipher them from my Android phone, but, one that really works with easy to use control and decent graphics!!! Way to go, Devs!!! Now, hook up with Penney Puzzles and, get their games to be accessible and playable on Android devices. 10♡s and stars for everyone involved in the development of this app!!!

love the words... since typos make it an extra challenge lol.. but THE LOUD ADS HAVE GOTTA GO
The game is a lot of fun. Great puzzles and not to many ads. I just wish the keyboard could be enlarged so it would not be so easy to hit the wrong letters.
I love this game. It doesn't give you a starting hint, but you can ask for a hint any time. You can also check for errors. Fun.
The cyphers satisfy the interest in codebreaking, but I have some MAJOR issues with the content: many have poor grammar, transposed words, and or the subjects or verses selected are nonsense: devoid of logic, wisdom or humor

Hi Katherine, thank you for trying out Cryptograms and for the review! We're always looking to keep our content quality high. Although we disagree about the content itself being devoid of logic, wisdom and humor, any grammar issues we're happy to fix. We'll be introducing some new features in the near term to help solve this. I used to love this, then I got repeated quotes about abortion. I play games to relax, not to get annoyed about hot topics.
Short quotes that are fun to do. I use Check and Hint when I'm pressed for time.
The first puzzle has a mistake that makes it impossible to complete. Not a great way to start.
I like the game, but the loud ads and the constant nagging and then the requirement to give this review are annoying as hell!
Good quotes, good for beginners, but often the same code is used so it becomes predictable. Way too many ads
I used to do the cryptoquote in the Asheville newspaper until it disappeared. This is almost the same, but I wish the author name would also be encrypted. Yes the ads are annoying, but ...
Would like some way to tell if a letter is incorrect other than having to go into menu and undo, unless the letter has already been used and in which case turns red.

Hi Susan, thanks for the review. There is a "check" feature in the menu that will turn all incorrect letters red. Pop up ads are loud annoying and far to frequent. I would Pay for an ad free version.
An easy game, some ads but I don't have to pay for hints and checks so far and I like that
Needs no descripton, great thinking game, when you have nothing but time to kill.
Too many pop ups and to many times. Gets to be very much a pain in the butt.
EXCELLENT game!. Well designed, lots.of :-) options,with interesting- - even worthwhile quotes. A+

Glad to hear thank you for trying out Cryptograms! I used to play Cryptograms in Dell crossword, and pencil puzzle magazines. I am very excited having the opportunity to play them again.
Loved doing Cryptograms in the daily newspaper, happy to have found an app since we no longer receive the paper.
