Rádio Cidade opened on November 19, 1990, broadcasting on AM 770.
Its arrival was a major milestone for the region, as the only other radio option was Nacional in Brasília.
Its programming began with plenty of music, news and sports information, service, and fun, all delivered by its first announcers, Aroldo Souza, Júlio Cesar, and Ramalho JR. Many others followed, leaving listeners with fond memories.
Today, with the migration, Rádio Cidade in Matupá, Mato Grosso, broadcasts on FM 101.1, and continues to reinvent its programming, keeping pace with technical and professional developments, to serve the entire Peixoto Valley region.
