Heddler is a focused weaving project tracker for handweavers who want to keep an organized record of their loom work without losing yarn details or loom settings. The app is organized around four simple tabs named Loom, Projects, Add Weave, and Search, so you can move between recent progress, saved records, new entries, and filtering with ease. In the Add Weave tab, you can enter a project name, warp yarn, weft yarn, and an optional sett value for ends per inch. Saving from that screen either creates a new weaving or updates an existing one, which helps keep your project log current as your plans change. The Loom tab acts as a dashboard with two woven counter chips labeled Warps On Loom and Finished Weaves, so you can see the state of your work at a glance. Below the counters, a three-row recent weaving strip shows the latest saved entries, and a quick-add shuttle button lets you start a new record without leaving the dashboard. The Projects tab displays a vertical stack of saved weaving cards, with each card showing the project name, setting, and a small yarn strip for quick recognition. Tapping any card opens the existing details for editing, while long-pressing a card asks for confirmation before deleting that record. The Search tab filters your saved weavings by project name, warp yarn, and weft yarn as you type. When no saved weaving matches the current filter, the screen shows a woven-thread empty state so you know the search is active and there are simply no matching results. All of your weaving records are stored locally on your device, so the app works offline and does not require an account or an internet connection. The visual design uses fabric swatch cards with three visible warp stripes and a short fringe at the bottom, making each saved project feel like a small woven sample tag. Completed weavings are marked with a single terracotta dot at the top right of the card rather than a checkbox, keeping the workspace quiet and craft-oriented. Heddler is especially useful for hobbyist handweavers, fiber art students, and craft workshop participants who need a simple offline place to record yarn combinations and project details between studio sessions.
