WARNING: DO NOT BUY A FREESAT BOX. They did an update about a year ago, which means every time you turn the box on from standby, it takes about 30 seconds to a minute to turn on and show the channel! It shows, "We are setting up your dish, this may take a while, please wait" message. It's very frustrating! Before then, only low power mode did this, and you had the option to not do this. But after the update, it's defaulted to low power mode and you can't change it.

Now utterly and completely useless. Last year they took away the remote connect and record, and now with the new version you can't even connect to the tv to allow you to select channels. The app now has zero value for ANY purpose. What mo rons have Freesat employed to oversee the functionality of this (now functionless) app????? A perfect advert for Sky TV

Jul 25 update. I have been a long-time Freesat user. I was so disappointed when the remote record function was removed (particularly as it was done without even telling customers). I'm now flabbergasted that someone has gone to the effort/cost of redesigning the app without reinstating remote record/control. What an extraordinary waste of an opportunity. My rating is therefore unchanged.
