Never miss a message or a call when your hands are busy. ReadAloud reads your incoming messages aloud, tells you who's calling, and lets you reply or answer by voice - through your helmet intercom, Bluetooth headset, car audio or phone speaker. And if something goes wrong, one SOS sends your location to the people you trust.

Originally built for motorcyclists, ReadAloud is just as useful anywhere your eyes and hands are needed elsewhere.

WHAT READALOUD DOES
• Reads incoming WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram and SMS messages aloud - who sent it and what it says
• Tells you who sent a new Gmail email
• Announces incoming calls by the caller's name - WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram and phone calls
• Answer or decline a call by saying "answer" or "decline" (optional, off by default)
• Reply to a message by voice, or say "call back" or "repeat" - a short beep tells you when to speak
• Say "location" to send where you are as a reply in the same chat
• Turn each app on or off separately

EMERGENCY SOS
• Hold the red SOS button, or say "emergency" after a message is read aloud, and ReadAloud texts your emergency contacts your own message, your coordinates and a map link
• Works with only a mobile signal - no internet needed
• Sends a second "Updated location" text if a more accurate position arrives
• You choose the contacts and the message
SOS is not a replacement for calling the emergency services. It needs mobile signal, and your provider's normal SMS charges apply.

• On the bike or in the car - hear who's messaging or calling and answer by voice, eyes on the road
• Running or at the gym - stay reachable without stopping
• In the kitchen - hear and answer messages without touching your phone

STAYS QUIET WHEN YOU NEED IT
• Headset-only mode: speaks only through your Bluetooth headset or helmet. With nothing connected it stays silent - handy as a quick mute at night
• Optional helmet microphone, so you don't have to shout over wind and engine noise
• Respects Do Not Disturb
• Never talks over a call you're on

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
ReadAloud has no backend server and never uploads your messages, contacts or audio. Your location is read only when you trigger SOS or the "location" command, and goes only to the people you chose. Voice replies and commands use your phone's built-in speech recognition. See our Privacy Policy for details.

PERMISSIONS
• Notification access - to read messages and see incoming calls
• Microphone - for voice replies and commands
• Contacts - to say names instead of numbers and to pick emergency contacts
• Phone - to call back and to answer or decline calls by voice
• SMS - only to send your SOS alert to your emergency contacts
• Location - only for SOS and the "location" command
• Display over other apps - only for answering app calls by voice
• Do Not Disturb access - to keep the ringtone quiet while a caller is announced

Every feature can be turned on or off, and you can revoke any permission at any time.

SUBSCRIPTION
No ads and no tracking. ReadAloud is supported by a low-cost monthly subscription, with a free trial for new subscribers, which funds ongoing development. Billing is handled securely by Google Play, and you can manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play account.

Note: some apps limit how much message content they share, so ReadAloud can only read what the app shows in its notification.
