ReadAloud TTS Reader turns everyday text into comfortable, hands-free listening with the text-to-speech voices already installed on your Android device.

Type or paste text into a focused reading workspace, share plain text from another app, or import a TXT, Markdown, HTML, or XHTML document. ReadAloud keeps the editable text visible while you listen, so you can follow along and move between sentence boundaries.

Private by design

Your reading library and preferences stay on your device. ReadAloud does not require an account or upload your documents to a reading service.

Device requirements and limitations

Speech quality, language availability, pronunciation, and offline operation depend on the Android text-to-speech engine and voice data installed on your device. If no compatible engine is enabled, ReadAloud explains what is missing instead of blocking the rest of the app. Document import is intentionally limited to readable text-based files; encrypted, DRM-protected, scanned, or image-only documents are not supported.
