About this app

Books you read pile up, but what remains is blurry.

Someone else always chooses your next book for you—sales rankings, or "people who bought this book."

Reading Workshop takes the opposite approach. The next book emerges from the records you leave behind.

This is a quiet workspace for reading, leaving notes, and continuing to read.

There are no ads. There are no marketing notifications. There is no membership registration.

Your library, sentences, and notes do not go to a server; they remain on your device.

◆ Picking Up Sentences

Capture impressive passages along with their page numbers.

If you take a photo of your bookshelf, the device reads the text (offline), allowing you to select and save only the sentences you like. This ensures you never get tired of transcribing.

◆ Not Just Reading — Reflection

Your saved sentences and notes become blank cards.

With Spacing Repeat (SRS), you are brought back to life just as you are about to forget them. Automatic blank generation is free, and no AI is required.

**Reading is Not the End — Reflection** ◆ Reading Note — Your Written Words Become a Book

Starting with why you are reading and what questions you wish to ask, you record everything from a one-line impression and one-line summary to three key points and "how to use this."

Your notes do not remain as scattered spaces but are typeset as a cohesive piece of writing. Notes left on sentences are attached directly below them, and simply scrolling down allows you to read from beginning to end.

Your year's record becomes a notebook that sits on your bookshelf. Clicking on a title in the table of contents at the very front takes you directly to that book.

You can engrave your name and a line on the cover. You can also choose the weave of the pages, the wood color, and the grain of the paper.

You can export it as a PDF to keep or share.

So that the book does not end even after you finish reading.

◆ Beyond — Why This App Is Different

· 2,408 Books Selected by Seol-ui — Recommended by Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and KAIST; Nobel Prize in Literature, Booker Prize, Pulitzer Prize, and Goncourt Prize; Sejong Books; recommendations by National Library of Korea librarians; and books by TIME, The Guardian, Le Monde, and even Bill Gates. These are books that have been actually recommended and awarded prizes by 24 organizations. The more publications a book is selected by, the higher it appears on the list. You won't find "people who bought this also bought that" here.

· 3 Minutes Before Reading — For 257 titles, information is prepared in advance on why you should read the book, questions to ponder before reading, questions to ask yourself after reading, difficulties you might encounter, and reading tips.

· Next Page — Once you finish reading a book, it suggests three more books to read next, along with reasons to do so. Deeper / The Entry / Side by Side / Opposite — even the path to intentionally stand on opposite sides. If a book is already in your library, it will be picked out for you first.

· Window to Today — It looks out at books that have been frequently borrowed from libraries recently.

Create your own categories in "My Bookshelf" and attach PDFs to read directly within the app.

◆ Focus Timer

Dark background, a single large number. Target time and break.

Counts time excluding when you are away — it does not erase time spent reading a physical book with the screen off.

If you finish reading, it counts as "Completed."

◆ Learning Beyond Books

Learning outside of books, such as lectures, documentaries, and exhibitions, is also recorded in the same space.

The days you read and the days you learned accumulate together.

◆ Flowerbed

1 page of a book is equivalent to 1mL of water. If you water it as much as you read, the flowers bloom. If you don't, they wither.

Fifteen varieties, from portulaca to roses — they take longer to grow further down the list.

◆ Statistics and Widgets

Records by year and month, genre distribution, and continuous records.

The home screen features Today's Quote, Reading, Display (12 covers), and Status widgets.

◆ Records are kept only on the device

Reading Workshop does not send your records to a server.

Only for those who wish to synchronize their phone and PC can you connect your Firebase directly to sync. This is entirely optional.

Reading Workshop does not rush you.

Whether you hold onto a book for a long time or step away for a while — the workshop remains in its place.

What’s new

사진에서 문장을 담을 때, 문장을 고르는 동안 키보드가 먼저 올라와 사진이 밀리던 문제를 고쳤어요. 이제 「고른 문장」 칸을 눌러야 키보드가 올라와요.

「표지 퍼즐」에서 조각이 옆 칸으로 미끄러지지 않고 엉뚱한 데로 튀었다 돌아오던 문제를 고쳤어요.

홈 화면의 「진열장」 위젯에서 책 표지가 갑자기 커 보이던 문제를 고쳤어요. 표지 없는 책의 제목 크기도 다듬었어요.
