How it works

When you send a message, it is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves. Only the recipient's device has the key to unlock it. The same protection applies to voice notes, photos, videos, group chats and calls. Even if a message travels through our servers, it is unreadable to everyone except the people in the conversation.
