Learn a language by reading stories you can actually finish.

ReadNative is a graded-reader app. Every book is a retelling of a classic, a folk tale or a legend, written to start at A1 (HSK 1 for Chinese) and build toward B1, so the language gets harder at the same pace you improve. Read chapter by chapter, at your own speed.

Stuck on a word? Tap it and see its meaning in the context of that sentence, not a dictionary list of ten options. Languages with non-Latin scripts show romanization, so you can read Hebrew, Persian, Thai, Armenian or Georgian from day one. Tap a whole sentence to see a full translation when you need it.

REMEMBER WHAT YOU LOOK UP
Words you look up are saved. Review them with spaced repetition (SRS), and watch your known-word count grow as you meet words again without needing a lookup. On Android you can export your words to Anki.

- Translations and explanations are in English.
- Read-along narration is available for the Chinese books (and one Georgian book). Most books are text only.

WHY READING?
Short stories give you the same words again and again in new situations, which is how vocabulary sticks. A graded reader keeps the text at a level where you understand most of it, so you read for the story instead of fighting every sentence.
