BrightSteps gives young children a calm, picture-supported place to practice first words, communication, phonics, reading, and handwriting foundations with a caregiver.
Activities include a visual communication board, routine cards, guided first-word lessons, sound-by-sound sliders, sentence practice, reading mode, and accurate tracing for letters and complete words. Four warm voice companions are bundled in the app for clear, consistent offline modeling.
Parent Settings includes sensory supports, guided learning plans, personal words, local progress insights, voice choices, and privacy controls. There are no ads, subscriptions, accounts, social features, external links, or third-party analytics.
Optional Say practice uses on-device speech recognition. Microphone audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to the developer. All other activities work when microphone permission is denied.
Offline speech, phonics, reading, AAC, and tracing practice for young children.
