The game, although simple, seemed fun enough initially. But what took me out of the game is how intentionally deceptive it is in terms of prices. If you play the game, take note of the price of buying new units either from the gambling system or store, pass a few levels, and recheck the prices. They'll have increased out of nowhere with no transparency. So although you make more money with further levels, everything costs more, and I imagine if I get stuck, I have to watch ads.

it's a decent time killer for a while. but it's gets way too grindy. after every level, the cost of units goes up but what you receive is far too little. I get about 1.5k for a loss and 6k for a win but a single common unit is 25k... with a add after every fight, it just takes too long to progress anymore. I'm stuck on level 113 for reference

Absurdly dull. It is impossible to progress without spending money, and the pay-wall isn't even that far ahead. The price of chests rises in proportion to your level, which is fair, but it rises way too much to the point of being unaffordable, resulting in having to grind the same level numerous times for a meager amount of coins just to buy a new chest that may or may not give a decent character that will carry you for the next 3 levels. And frankly, the grind isn't worth the time.
