Appearing deceptively peaceful to the casual passerby, a mysterious island exists in the far reaches of the Atlantic Ocean. The inhabitants know not how they got there or why they stay; all they’re sure of is that the place in which they are trapped is called Isoland.

You are a researcher who has received a letter from a friend imploring you to help with an investigation on Isoland. You travel to the mysterious island, seeking to unravel its mysteries -- but after you arrive, you realize all too late that you, too, are now trapped. Beware of being lulled into complacency by the beauty of the island: Use your wits to avoid being tricked, and unravel the logic behind complex puzzles. Only then will the secrets of Isoland be revealed.

I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5, because I've played every Isoland game now, and with pretty much every game I've had to look up how to solve a few things. I like the stories and the weirdness in their games, I just think that some of the "solutions" to progress in the game are... not sure how to word it... unrelated? Like some of the solutions are things you wouldn't ever think to do or things you have to click on several times after you've completed a different task. Stuff like that.

Great game - both playthroughs! I loved all the secrets & Easter eggs. But having paid for the game, I do feel it's ridiculous to expect players to still purchase (for 99¢ each?!) hints, or watch long ads for very ambiguous clues. I needed a little help several times, so I'm glad there are free walkthroughs on YouTube.

Puzzles weren't too hard, what's harder finding some of the clues, and discovering that you have to talk to the characters to get things rolling. Bonus game was good too, though a little disconcerting to have to hit "new game" to get there. I don't usually buy games from an author with no previous work to sample free, but I'm glad I took the gamble.
