About this game
Merg is a fast-paced multiplayer .io game where you grow your cells by eating smaller players, food, voidstones, holes. Split, shoot and merge to outplay your opponents!
CORE GAMEPLAY
- Eat smaller entities to grow bigger.
- Split into multiple pieces to chase prey or dodge danger, then merge back together.
- Shoot holes at bigger attackers to pop them into many pieces and chip at them.
MANY GAME MODES
- Classic: open arena, eat or be eaten.
- Teams: coordinate with allies and devour the other teams.
- Survival: last blob standing wins.
- Team Survival: last team standing wins.
- Knockout: smallest players are eliminated every set interval, last player standing wins.
- Adventure: team up with friends and progress through a variety of different stages with 4 difficulty levels.
- Soccer: capture the ball and score in the opponent's net.
- Competitive: ranked 1v1 against opponents of similar skill.
COMPETITIVE SEASONS
- Climb the ranks through skill-based matchmaking.
- Every season, the top 100 players earn huge rewards!
- Browse your full competitive history and past-season leaderboards any time.
ONLINE & SOCIAL
- Play over LAN for low latency local matches with your custom room setup.
- One-tap PLAY ONLINE drops you into a public room of your chosen mode in seconds.
- Create private rooms with your own rules: map size, max players, bots, mode modifiers, custom commands and more
- Spectate any room silently, or queue up to join when a slot opens.
- Live in-game chat, global chat rooms, and a full friends list with online status.
HUGE CUSTOMIZATION
- 60+ skins, plus the ability to upload your own custom skins.
- Name colors, gradient name colors (up to three colors), and custom name fonts.
- Profile tags, profile backgrounds, and rank badges visible to everyone you play with.
PROGRESSION
- Earn XP and Voidstones in every mode.
- Climb XP and per-mode leaderboards filtered by daily, weekly, monthly, or all-time.
- Watch ads for bonus Voidstones!
MODE MODIFIERS
These modifiers can be toggled for any mode when creating a custom game.
- Quick Merge: pieces merge back together immediately after splitting.
- Relax: human players can't kill each other, perfect for chill rooms.
- Circle Map: round arena instead of square.
- No holes: gets rid of all hole hazards in the game, perfect for testing new tricks, strategies or growing larger than the map!
- Stack any combination of modifiers at your own free will.
POLISH & QUALITY OF LIFE
- Adaptive jitter buffer and per-tick interpolation keep gameplay smooth even on a slow connection or server overload.
- Actively being translated by the community, more languages will be available soon.
- Robust account recovery so you never lose your progress.
- Free to play, with optional purchases.
