Ratings and reviews

Totally worthless app. I can't keep it connected to the television and the remote that came with the television is a joke. After several years of not being able to use the apps on the phone I just spent less than $7 for a compatible remote from Amazon. As much as the television cost, you would think Vizio could include a dependable and efficient remote. I have tried 3 different versions of the Vizio smartcast app and none of them will even acknowledge the presence of the television or soundbar.

STAY CLEAR!!!! WAY TOO MANY ADS! Frickin app showed me five ads before it ever even let me see the actual remote control, and then, once I pushed a button, it had three more ads and then it wanted me to "register online" which is a DEAD GIVEAWAY that it will steal my info and sell it to companies for pennies and I'll get lifetime spam calls/emails/texts. ABSOLUTELY NOT. UNINSTALLED ASAP! I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This app is not only a waste of time but it is bloated with ads disguised as a needed component in order to use the app. It's a new way that apps are using to scam people into purchasing additional subscriptions or making the user think that they need several different apps.
